jammyphan.com — Concept Atlas

Every concept in order, newest work first. Built 2026-07-28, card bodies synced 2026-08-03 through Round 10, rounds 11 through 18d and the deploy pass appended 2026-08-20 (MTSK-2026-0009 Part B) as the block directly below rather than by rewriting the cards. Fixes a real gap: none of the individual concept pages show their own name anywhere on-page, and there was no single place to see every iteration. Source of truth for the history behind every entry: review-log/2026-07-21-review-log.md.

Retention policy (Jammy, 2026-07-28): nothing here is ever permanently deleted. "Removed" concepts (like Emergence v2 below) are marked superseded/removed and dropped from active consideration, but their files stay on disk so every variation remains viewable over time. Standing rule, logged in TSK-2026-0094.

Rounds 11 through 18d, and the deploy pass (2026-08-03 → 2026-08-18) — appended 2026-08-20. The cards below were last rewritten at Round 10. Everything since is summarised here, with its own source, so the atlas stops presenting Round 10 as the end of the story. Sources: review-log/round11-note.md (rounds 11 through 13), review-log/round14-journey.md, review-log/round15…round18/jam-drop.md, and TSK-2026-0094's Progress log for everything from 2026-08-10 on.

Round 10 (2026-08-03) — she dances now. Jammy supplied real references at last (múa lân costumes, a múa rồng parade head, the Huế Nguyễn imperial statue — in dragon-lab/refs/) plus two lion-dance videos, and the motion brief: stop the random flight — she steps around the screen like lion dancing, on the text and the mountains. The lab gained three costume/imperial forms (lan, mua-rong, hue-imperial) with painted bulging eyes, fur brows and ruffs, cloth-hoop and fur bodies, and Huế flame-horns; Hạ Long gained a perch→crouch→leap→land gait over REAL perches (the hero title, the cove frame, card tops, the painted karst peaks) with a true short-bodied lân companion dancing one perch behind her. ?gait=silk keeps the old glide; ?lan=0 hides the companion. Details: review-log/round10/.

Rounds 8–9 (2026-07-30 → 2026-08-03) — anatomy, arrivals, and endings that land. Round 8 fixed Mount Rainier's floating base and the Space Needle's proportions, and gave the dragon lab a form axis — which Jammy then rejected as "a slug swimming around," correctly: no form could touch the body geometry. Round 9 rebuilt it: geometry moved into dragon-draw.js, every rebuilt form now carries a real skull (open jaw, teeth, eye), neck-pinch body profile, silhouette-breaking scales, jointed four-clawed limbs and curling barbels — ribbon stays the byte-identical control (proven by dragon-lab/verify.html), and Hạ Long moves zero pixels until Jammy picks a form × palette. Core Sample's jar now floats in the hero from frame 0 and gets intercepted by the sonde mid-fall (hatch seals around it), and its finale gained a grab-toss-spin jar physics toy beside a hardened CTA. Jam Drop's empty ending was a diagnosed bug (the jar was faded to zero at contact) — it's now the landing object at 1.9× with the Hạ Long pearl treatment re-voiced in raspberry, plus the long-missing sky-fall and pod-entry beats. Details: review-log/round9/.

Round 7 (2026-07-29) — the site jar, Alki Beach, and dragon lore. Jammy picked the Jam Drop jar as the site jar ("I kind of like how it says Jam on it, and the size of it too") — Core Sample and Nocturne v2 ported it in, superseding jar-design-lab's neck-and-shoulder form for site use (the lab's form still governs the logo, where the A-nesting constraint applies). Core Sample and Jam Drop both gained an Alki Beach, night beat off Jammy's reference photo. Nocturne v2 got two real bugs fixed: the koi pond was compositing to background at 20% alpha (the fish read as floating in the sky) and the #emerge colour stop was clamping to a 1px span on any viewport over ~775px. Hạ Long's dragon got real Vietnamese-lore research — Lý-dynasty, no horns, a mào lửa fire-crest instead, and a mourning-white body flagged as a real problem, worked out in a brand-new dragon-lab. Atlas and task log were out of sync with this round until this pass — see TSK-2026-0094 Progress log.

Round 6 (2026-07-28) — the jar became the main character. Every remaining concept now gives the jar a dedicated scene it owns, at 144–270px instead of a 15–30px cameo. Six carry a four-beat escape-pod sequence (wrap → entry burn → crater crash → jar emerges); Bamboo House gets a quiet teatime still-life instead, having no descent to hang one on. The jar also bounces off the page's real text blocks as it falls, and Hạ Long's dragon uses the same mechanic to coil around actual section geometry. All seven hosted links now match their local files — the first time since Round 4.

🫙 New: the jar-design-lab, and the finding that closed a seven-round question

The jar's own form had never been decided in one place — each concept drew its own, and the logo track spent eight rounds fitting one into an uppercase A. jar-design-lab/ is now that place, and it supersedes both for form decisions.

The finding: the jar-in-A cannot survive 16px at any parameter setting. Punching a jar into the A's mass leaves two ribs of ink; at 512 units rendered to 16px, one pixel is 32 units, so a rib needs ~50u. At the Round-6 counter width the ribs are 0.81px and alias to grey mush. Narrow the counter until they hold and the jar becomes a 2.0px nick carrying nothing. Widen → the letter dies; narrow → the jar dies. No overlap exists. Verified with real rasters, not just arithmetic.

So the answer is two marks, not one compromise: a solid filled jar for 16–24px (favicon — verified intact), the jar-in-A for 32–64px, the full wordmark above that. Cross-linked with TSK-2026-0228.

Active concepts — most recent work first

jar-design-lab — the canonical solid jar

🫙 Jar Design Lab

canonical formpod locked

What the jam jar should look like as a design object, separate from any one concept's staging of it. Parametric generators (saved, not baked), four variation axes, every silhouette shown free-standing and nested in an uppercase A, with real 512/64/32/16px rasters at true pixel grid.

Also locks the escape pod's proportions, since six concepts now use it — decided once instead of improvised six times.

Dragon Lab — five palettes, two grounds

🐉 Dragon Lab

canonical dragonRound 9 · 2026-08-03

🆕 Round 10 (2026-08-03): three costume/imperial forms from Jammy's real references — múa lân (huge painted-eye lion-dance head, fur body), múa rồng (parade head: antlers + ruff + fur brows, cloth-hoop body — built for the lion-dance gait), rồng Huế (Nguyễn imperial: flame horns and mane, densest armour, mào lửa kept). Eight forms total; ribbon still the byte-identical control.

Round 9 (2026-08-03): full anatomy rebuild after Jammy's "slug swimming around" verdict — real skulls with open jaws and teeth, neck-pinch body profiles, silhouette-breaking scales, jointed four-clawed limbs, curling barbels; a 2.6× head-detail tile leads every form row and verify.html proves the ribbon control byte-identical. The horn rule survives as an honest label, no longer a gate (his call). Awaiting his form × palette pick — and the three reference images belong in dragon-lab/refs/, which was created because they were never saved to disk.

Companion to jar-design-lab, for the dragon: same pose, same instant (t = 3.7), same ground pair for all ten renders, so the only variable is the palette. Contrast numbers are read back out of the rendered pixels, not asserted.

Five candidate palettes tested against both a near-black night ground and a near-cream noon ground, including rồng ngọc (jade + gold — the actual SLB brand read) and cửu long (delta bronze, Jammy's home-region angle). Confirms the Lý-dynasty form: no horns, a mào lửa fire-crest instead, three toes, and flags the current near-white body as reading as mourning white in Vietnamese, not elegant.

Orbit → atmosphere → SeattleAlki Beach, night → surface → drilled column → inner core. Sonde JP-J1 craters at the borehole collar and the jar emerging is the specimen recovered.

The Space Needle beat closes a loop the concept opened in its first frame — its orbit hero has marked the collection site at 47.6°N 122.3°W all along.

🆕 Round 9 (2026-08-03): the jar floats in space from frame 0 and the sonde now intercepts it MID-FALL — hatch seals around it in the entry band, sealed ride down to a beat that arrives pre-sealed. The finale gained a grab-toss-spin jar physics toy bouncing off the real CTA blocks, plus the hardened CTA (filled 52px primary, dead cal.com deleted, sticky mini-CTA). Round 8 (2026-07-30) reseated + raised Mount Rainier off its floating base.

🆕 Round 7 (2026-07-29): the aerial oblique now descends to an Alki Beach eye line (low horizon, long vertical light reflections, the two red-lit Queen Anne masts) before the surface beat, and the jar was ported over to the Jam Drop form — Jammy's pick as the site jar.

CORRECTED 2026-08-21 · this card used to read "MIGRATED 2026-08-10" and link ../phihoangphan-site/ha-long/index.html. That migration never happened on disk. No phihoangphan-site folder exists anywhere in the vault, so the link was dead and the claim was false. Jammy did say "Ha Long will become a website for my vietnamese name website Phi Hoang Phan", and the 2026-08-11 round notes do refer to syncing to a phihoangphan-site, but nothing was ever committed here under that name.

What actually became of it: the folder ha-long/ was repurposed in place on 2026-08-14 (commit 85610c97, "finish the structural pass on ha-long, the /about/ concept source") into the source for the deployed /about/ page. It is not the concept any more. See the separate card below for what that folder is today.

She escorts the pod down, and carries the emerged jar to the pearl — the two motifs are one system now (Round 6). Cursor lean preserved exactly (0.13/0.085).

🆕 Round 10 (2026-08-03): she lion-dances — a perch→crouch→leap→land gait over real perches (hero title, cove frame, card tops, painted karst peaks), with the short-bodied lân companion dancing one perch behind. Default on; ?gait=silk keeps the Round-9 glide, ?lan=0 hides the lân. Form × palette pick STILL open — now 8 forms.

Round 9 (2026-08-03): migrated to the rebuilt dragon renderer — geometry now lives in the shared dragon-draw.js block behind explicit BEGIN/END markers. Defaults untouched (ribbon + pearl-mist), so zero pixels moved; every rebuilt form previews via ?form=<id>&dragon=<id> pending Jammy's pick.

🆕 Round 7 (2026-07-29): real Vietnamese-lore research folded in — Lý-dynasty form confirmed (no horns, a fire-crest, three toes), plus five new candidate palettes worked out in the new dragon-lab companion (jade+gold is the true SLB-brand read). The near-white body is flagged as a real problem (white = mourning in Vietnamese usage) — palette pick is still Jammy's call.

Which snapshot is which. ha-long-pre-production-readiness-2026-08-14.html is the most evolved dragon: freeflight, roost, the painted body, and the flow round, captured at 12:22 on 2026-08-14, an hour before the /about/ repurpose landed at 13:20. ha-long-pre-bodyart-2026-08-11.html is the last one whose <title> still says "Hạ Long (concept)" · the bodyart round replaced that title while adding the doctype and the jam-jar logo. Every earlier round is in _history/ too, back to ha-long-round7-2026-07-29.html.

ha-long/ · now the /about/ page source

SHIPPEDnot a conceptsince 2026-08-14
jammyphan.com/about/

The folder ha-long/ is still here and still live, but it is no longer the Hạ Long concept. On 2026-08-14 (commit 85610c97) it was repurposed in place into the source for the deployed /about/ page. Title is now "About Jammy Phan · AI Product Builder", the h1 is "Jammy Phan".

It kept the parts worth keeping: the dragon canvas still runs, and the #cove, #koi and #dive sections are all still in place. What it gained is an About identity, including the About nav links the concept never had. Later passes on 2026-08-16 (45ce72a5, b77300f2) added the footer, Barlow Condensed and the brand-jar home link.

Why this card exists. The atlas had no entry for this folder at all, so the only thing it said about ha-long/ was the false migration claim on the card above. Added 2026-08-21 so the folder's real current identity is on the page.

Jam Drop — Round 7 hero, mission 001

Jam Drop — Mission 001

🏆 WINNER🫙 jar is the heroRound 7

🏆 WINNER 2026-08-10 — Jammy: "Jam Drop will be what we run with for jammyphan.com".

The jar as main character from the start — Kármán line, plasma entry, sonic boom, touchdown splat, ends inside the jam.

🆕 Round 9 (2026-08-03): the empty ending was a diagnosed bug — the jar was explicitly faded to zero at contact. Now it IS the landing object: 1.9× hero jar rising off the bottom edge with the Hạ Long pearl treatment re-voiced in raspberry (glow, rings, motes), cursor-alive to the end. Also landed: the long-missing sky-fall + pod-entry beats (descent pod JD-001 catches the jar mid-fall, reopens at cloud break), a band-derived altimeter ladder, and the hardened CTA. Round 8 (2026-07-30) made the Space Needle taller without fattening it.

★ Jammy's favourite as of 2026-07-28 — and the source of the site jar: Round 6 measured why this page's jar reads as protagonist, then Round 7 ported the same drawJarShape() into Core Sample and Nocturne v2.

🆕 Round 7 (2026-07-29): a new Alki Beach, night establishing beat lands right after touchdown, before the approved cream-ground finale continues unchanged.

Nocturne v2 — Orbit to Core

🫙 focalpod sequence✅ link currentRound 7
jar scale 6.47 at the finale

Jammy called this concept's transitions "the cleanest" — its band-map became the house engine reused across every other full-cycle concept.

🆕 Round 7 (2026-07-29): two real bugs fixed, not polish. The koi pond was compositing to the page background at ~5% opacity over flat cream, so the fish visibly floated in the sky — now a real body of water. The #emerge colour stop was clamping to a 1px span on viewports over ~775px, so the "first light" transition the concept is named for was playing in 45px; it's now derived from the #emerge section's own height. The jar was also ported over to the Jam Drop form.

Powers of Ten

new stop: 10⁻⁰·⁵

A new scene inserted between 10⁰ and 10⁻¹: the camera enters the jar's mouth — the object the whole zoom was aiming at. Its 10⁵ stop is now Puget Sound and the Seattle grid, which is also the truest Eames homage available, since the 1977 film opens over the Chicago lakefront.

Caught the one real threat to the animation language Jammy praised: folding the focus point into the combined scale would have reintroduced scale pop at both seams. Transform decomposed; other six hops provably unchanged; endpoints still exactly 7 → −9.

Bamboo House v2 — teatime on the engawa

Bamboo House v2 — One Day

🗑 REMOVED 2026-08-10
jar 213px · no pod, by design

🗑 REMOVED 2026-08-10 — Jammy: "Remove Bamboo House v2 from this list i dont like it."

One day, dawn to night, inside a bamboo house. No pod — there is no descent here, and a crashing capsule would break the register. Instead: teatime on the engawa, the low sun crossing the glass and throwing a crimson caustic on the boards. Nothing else in the house is that colour.

Collision restitution dropped to 0.28 so the jar slides off edges rather than bouncing — this house doesn't clatter. The first build gave the still-life the whole viewport and it read as a different website; reframed into the house's own panel grammar.

jar 144px · first jar pass ever

Tagline: "Dig Deep Enough, Find the Pigment." The only concept that had zero jar code before this round — and it produced the best fit in the set. Descending, the contents read as raspberry preserve; at the crater that exposes the lapis seam, they resolve to ground pigment. Same vessel, two substances, delivering the page's own thesis.

🔧 Link corrected 2026-07-28 — this card previously pointed at 3d83737c…, which is actually Round 1's Underpainting artifact. Standing item: this concept's koi are off-canon (they dart where the approved ones drift), left untouched this round.

Emergence v2 — One Shot

🗑 REMOVED 2026-07-28

Tagline: "a life · filmed in one shot · scrubbed by scroll." One continuous unbroken-camera dive.

🗑 REMOVED 2026-07-28 — Jammy: transitions felt weak. Out of the active set and excluded from every future Phase-3 shortlist. Files and artifact deliberately left untouched on disk — this is a removal from consideration, not a deletion.

Archived / superseded early explorations

Every one of these is a real page that got built and screenshotted — none were ever deleted, they just weren't wired into this atlas as viewable cards until now. Local files and hosted links below still work (hosted Claude Artifact links may have gone stale/expired over time since they were never republished after their round; the local index.html always works). Full round-by-round writeup with every screenshot and Jammy's verbatim verdict: review-log/2026-07-21-review-log.md, Rounds 1–2.

Underpainting — hero

Underpainting — Concept C

Round 1 · 2026-07-14superseded — never carried forward as its own build

Best of Round 1 — "the whole landing page concepted out which is nice to see." Reference point for what the later builds should have matched, but no v2 of this specific direction was ever built; its ideas fed into the later full-cycle concepts instead.

Uptime — hero

Uptime — Concept B

Round 1 · 2026-07-14cut

"doesn't capture anything about the concept I wrote or shared at all." Hardest miss of Round 1 — dark-terminal/changelog treatment never picked up the dream-cloud → descent → Zen-ground vision.

North Light — hero

North Light — Concept A

Grouped with Uptime and called "basic." One of the two directions cut in favor of Underpainting even before the formal review round.

Lovable dream-cloud to descent build — hero

Lovable build — dream-cloud → descent

Round 1 · 2026-07-16cut

Most built-out of the Round 1 set (working Throughline log + Selected Work/BuoyBots section) but "looks like two concepts tried to force into one" — the cosmic hero and the Underpainting brushstroke spine never cohered.

Recovered hand-coded rig — hero

Recovered rig — Vite + R3F

Round 1 · 2026-07-16/17cut

The only Round 1 entry that was a real running WebGL app, not a static mock. But koi and sand-garden sections were on-screen STUB placeholders — "conceptually kind of hits the idea... but the scenes are not well designed or pushed out at all." No live link (ran off a since-recovered dangling git branch); see 6 screenshots in the review log.

Emergence v1 — hero with spirit crane

Emergence (v1)

Round 2 · 2026-07-21superseded by Emergence v2 (itself removed above)

Best structural read of Round 2 — "captured the concept of floating from Space down to Earth's ground the most, but the images and style are basic. Make this like red bull commercial." That note became Emergence v2.

Bamboo House v1 — hero with marumado window

Bamboo House (v1)

Round 2 · 2026-07-21superseded by Bamboo House v2 above

The koi pond and sand courtyard were the two elements Jammy flagged as keepers across the whole round — "I like this koi fish pond here — can we try a few variations."

Ultramarine Bridge v1 — hero

Ultramarine Bridge (v1)

Round 2 · 2026-07-21superseded by Ultramarine Bridge v2 above

Captured the falling feeling but "it's just a plain blue color in the background. I want visual graphics... something to really make the user feel like they are falling." v2 answered this directly with Earth limb, plasma entry, lapis veins.

Nocturne / First Light v1 — hero flock

Nocturne / First Light (v1)

Ink Descent — hero

Ink Descent

Sumi-e ink-wash direction, koi-through-text lead. "I like the koi pond once again, find a way to improve it and incorporate it in these new variations." Plus the round-wide note that started the "unify into one journey" push: "the pages don't feel unified... like random lego blocks stacked on top of each other."
