the problem · three disciplines, one person
Holding three disciplines without looking like a résumé.
We replaced an old page builder site on the founder’s domain. The new page had to hold three trainings in a single story without looking like a résumé. One person, one fall. That was the brief.
The two sites cross-link but never make the same pitch. Studio Lucky Bamboo sells projects to health, wellness, and mission-based practices. The founder’s site sells Jammy Phan. It highlights the systems training that makes the work hold up, the business training that makes it pay, and the fine-art practice that shapes the look.
The old domain
The domain hosted an old page builder site that missed the new positioning completely. We preserved nothing from it.
The unbuilt concept
Every early concept shared one idea. A fall from a dream realm down to solid ground, where the work waited at the bottom. No one had actually built it yet.
Setting the standard
We reviewed eight first pass artifacts in one sitting. None of them hit the depth the brief demanded. The founder wanted a page that made a visitor say, wow, you made that.

the approach · build the field, then go deep
Explore the options, then commit to a single drop.
You cannot judge a sketch for scroll feel. We made every concept a working page starting in round two. We verified each in a browser before the founder saw it.
- Round one set the bar. We reviewed three drawn directions, a page builder build, three generated concepts, and a hand-coded rig. The founder’s verdict set the depth to clear.
- Rounds two and three delivered working pages. We built five full concepts, rebuilt four as a continuous canvas, and added four more, including Hạ Long.
- Round four brought the wildcard. Jam Drop. We released one jar of jam at the Kármán line and followed it to touchdown.
- The jar became the main character. A lab settled its form, and we rebuilt every remaining concept around it. Loud jar, calm page.
- We reached a verdict, followed by eighteen numbered rounds. We picked Jam Drop for Home and reworded Hạ Long for About. We archived and kept the rest.

“When the site’s claim is craft, the build has to be the proof.”
The platform decision reversed twice. We tried a page builder for speed, then a generated React build for credibility. We shipped neither. The final product is a hand-rolled static page using Canvas 2D and inline SVG, with no framework and no build step. If you pitch craft, you cannot outsource it.

Tracking every round
We ran the mark, the type, and the page on three parallel tracks. The turning points are below, and every other round is one click further down. We retouched nothing. The captures show the exact copy as it stood.

The mark
A jar punched into an uppercase A cannot hold at favicon size, so the answer became two marks: a solid jar for the smallest sizes and the jar-in-A from 32 px up.

Shipping the domain and verifying the build.
jammyphan.com went live on Aug 11, 2026. We moved the domain off its old host that same night.
Shipping the pages
We shipped Jam Drop as the Home page and Hạ Long as the About page. The reduced motion branch places the jar instantly instead of flying it in.
Post launch stability
We added a real document head for search tooling and a permanent www redirect that preserves deep paths. We set cache rules for images and served WebP files with JPEG fallbacks.
The final audit
We ran a clean browser pass over every sitemap URL. We found zero broken links, zero broken images, and zero console messages.
