Plainly, what this site knows about you

What we collect

Analytics, and nothing else, and only if you say yes. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how this site is actually used, and it runs only after you choose Accept on the consent banner at the bottom of the page. What it records, once you have accepted:

The pages you open, and how far down each one you scroll.

Which links to other sites you click.

Roughly where in the world you are, at the city level, worked out from your IP address.

What kind of device and browser you are using, and whether you have been here before.

To tell one visit apart from the next, Google sets cookies in your browser, and it does so only after you accept. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and nothing about your visit is measured. Those are the only cookies involved, and there is no other tracking on this site: no session recordings, no heatmaps, no chat widget, nobody watching a replay of your visit. Google holds the analytics data for 14 months and then deletes it. This site itself sets no cookies at all. The one thing it does save in your browser is a single small note recording the choice you made, so it does not ask again. That note holds nothing about you, no name, no ID, nothing anyone could trace, and it never leaves your browser. And you can change your mind at any time: the Cookie preferences link in the footer reopens the banner.

Why we look at it

We would rather fix a page than guess at it. Analytics tells us which pages genuinely help someone decide, and which ones quietly lose them, so the next round of work goes where it is actually needed. That is the entire purpose.

We do not use any of it to advertise to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone else. Analytics is separate from the optional newsletter below.

What Google does with it

Worth being straight about, because this data passes through Google's hands and not only ours, even though we do not use it to advertise. We have turned off the setting that would let Google connect what it sees here to a visitor's signed-in Google account or use it across Google's own services. Google still processes it under its own terms as the company running the analytics tool, in the same way any measurement service would.

You can read Google's privacy policy, and if you would rather not be measured at all, Google publishes a browser add-on that turns Analytics off everywhere you go. Use it freely. We will never know the difference, and nothing here will treat you any differently.

What we never collect

There are no accounts on this public site, so there is no password of yours to lose. There is nothing to buy, so we never see a card. We do not ask about your health, your practice's finances, or anyone in your care, and we would not want to. Nothing you read here is tied to your name, because we never learn it.

When you get in touch

Three ways, each honest about where your details go.

The Let's Create button opens Google's scheduling page. That page is Google's, not ours, so the name, email and time you enter there are handled under Google's terms and arrive in our Google Calendar the way any booking would.

Emailing the studio address goes to an ordinary inbox a person reads.

The Join the newsletter box at the bottom of the home page is an optional newsletter signup. If you subscribe, we store your email in Customer.io so we can send about one note a month on practice websites. You can unsubscribe from any note in a click, or email us and we will remove you.

The free website audit form

The audit form asks for two things: your website address and your email. We save both in our database (Supabase) with the time you sent them and any campaign tags from the link you arrived on, and we store both in Customer.io, where the newsletter list also lives. We use the address to run the checks and the email to send you the report, which comes from hello@studioluckybamboo.com. The checks look only at your public site. They never log in and never ask for access.

If you tick the newsletter box on the form, your email is also added to the Studio Lucky Bamboo newsletter, with the time and the wording you agreed to recorded alongside it. It works the way the newsletter paragraph above describes, and every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link. If you leave the box unticked, no newsletter is sent.

We do not sell, rent, or share your address with anyone else. To have it deleted, email jammy.phan@studioluckybamboo.com with the subject “Data deletion request”, the same way as in the section below.

Connected accounts, for clients

Separate from this public site, we run a private portal for clients. If a client connects an Instagram account, Facebook Page or LinkedIn profile, the portal stores the account name and ID, an encrypted access token, the captions and images we prepared for that account, a record of each post we published, and counts such as likes, comments and reach. We never see your Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn password, we do not ask for access to private messages, and we do not store the names of the people who liked or commented. We use this only to publish what a person has approved and to report results to the account’s owner. We do not sell it or use it to advertise. It is shared only with the account’s owner, the platform it came from, and the hosting and database providers that store it for us.

To ask us to delete it, email jammy.phan@studioluckybamboo.com with the subject “Data deletion request”. We reply within 5 business days and finish the deletion within 30 days of confirming. You can also cut off our access yourself at any time by removing “Studio Lucky Bamboo Loop” in the platform’s own settings. The technical bit

Two things load from elsewhere so the site looks and moves the way it should: the typefaces come from Google Fonts, and the animation code from a public code library service called jsDelivr. Both see your IP address in the moment they hand a file to your browser, which is how nearly every site on the internet works. Neither is ours, and neither is told anything about you.
